Here you will see whether you’ve got a head for heights: In the forest ropes course in Alliz near Lasa in the Venosta Valley, you will climb 80 platforms on a total of seven courses with different difficulties and varied installations. Countless sporting challenges can be faced in the high ropes course Ötzi Rope Park in the Val Senales valley. Here, you can master a total of nine courses with a height ranging from two to eighteen metres. Both climbing parks offer exciting challenges for little as well as for big climbing enthusiasts. A tip for loudmouths: it usually looks easier from the ground than from top.

A boat. A crew. Strong arms and a merciless river that will sweep everything away that gets in its way. That is rafting in the rapids of the Adige. Rafting in South Tyrol is a sport where teamwork and perseverance are required. Only those who give it their all, can conquer the river – you will be wet in any way. Here in Naturno, rafting means a lots of fun for the whole family. Another possibility to get wet is kitesurfing at lake Resia – one of the best kitesurfing areas of the Alps with a total length of six kilometres, unique winds, a fantastic scenery and perfect conditions for beginners.

Your experiences in the Merano region

Only those who have ridden on a horseback know how great riding a horse feels. At the holiday farm bio Vill in Silandro, beginners are also given the chance to try this noble sport out – and to get to know some very special horses. Here, the owners take a lot of time to care for these unique animals. You and your kids can join in, too, because every rider takes care of their own horse – including cleaning, saddling and bridling. South Tyrolean Haflinger horses are known for their sociability and their calmness, which is why they are especially well suited for beginners.
